On the 22nd and 23 September, it is not the calendar but astronomy that decides: the Sun changes signs at a different hour each year, and the transition can shift by up to a day. Anyone born on those days needs their birth year and, ideally, their birth time to be certain. The free star sign calculator checks this in seconds. The Ascendant calculator also gives you your Moon sign and Ascendant.

Frequently asked questions about the star sign in September
How many zodiac signs are there in September?
September has two star signs: until 22 September it is Virgo (which begins 23 August), and from 23 September Libra begins (until 22 October). On the two cusp dates, the birth year and time of birth determine the sign.
Which star sign is born on 23 September?
According to the standard calendar dates, Libra begins on 23 September. However, the changeover can shift by up to a day depending on the birth year and time. Anyone born on the 22nd or 23 September may therefore also be Virgo. An accurate calculation using the birth year and, ideally, the time of birth will give you certainty.
Why do some lists show a different date for the September star sign?
The Sun does not change signs at the same hour every year: the transition varies by up to a day because the calendar year and the solar year are not exactly the same length. That is why calendar lists round differently. What always counts is a calculation based on the specific date of birth, including the year and, ideally, the time.
