February begins in air and ends in water. Until 18 February, Aquarius holds sway with ideas, independence, and a sense of community. From 19 February onward, Pisces takes over, the most sensitive and dreamy sign of the zodiac. The shortest month of the year thus unites head and heart.

What is my star sign if I was born on a cusp date in February?
On the 18th and 19 February, it's not the calendar that decides but astronomy: the Sun changes signs at a different hour each year, and the transition can shift by up to a day. Anyone born on these dates needs their birth year and, ideally, their birth time to be certain. The free star sign calculator checks this in seconds. The Ascendant calculator also provides your Moon sign and Ascendant.
What are people born in February said to be like?
People born in February often seem a little different from the rest, in the best way: original, empathetic, hard to put in a box. Aquarius-born express this outwardly, Pisces-born express it inwardly. And anyone with a birthday on 1 March is, without question, born under Pisces.
Frequently asked questions about the star sign in February
How many zodiac signs are there in February?
February has two star signs: until 18 February, it's Aquarius (beginning 20 January), and from 19 February, Pisces begins (through 20 March). On the two cusp dates, birth year and time of birth make the difference.
Which star sign is born on 19 February?
According to the standard calendar dates, Pisces begins on 19 February. However, the transition can shift by up to a day depending on the birth year and time. So someone born on the 18th or 19 February could also be an Aquarius. A calculation using the birth year and, where possible, the birth time will give you a definitive answer.
Why do some lists give a different date for the star sign in February?
The Sun does not change signs at the same hour every year: the transition varies by up to a day because the calendar year and the solar year are not exactly the same length. That is why calendar lists round differently. What always counts is a calculation based on the specific date of birth, including the year and, ideally, the time.
Which star sign is born on 1 March?
1 March falls right in the middle of Pisces (19 February to 20 March). Anyone born on a leap day is therefore clearly a Pisces, with no cusp uncertainty at all.
