What is a Composite Chart Book?
A Composite Chart Book, also known as a composite chart, is a third horoscope created from two birth charts: for each planet, the midpoint between both positions is calculated. The result describes not each of you individually, but your relationship as an entity in its own right.
What is the difference between a Composite Chart Book and a Relationship Horoscope Book?
The Relationship Horoscope Book (synastry) compares two birth charts: how do my planets interact with yours? The Composite Chart Book asks: what is the quality of our connection itself? The two complement each other, and many couples read one first and then the other.
Do we both need birth times for a Composite Chart Book?
Not for the planets. But the Composite Chart’s Ascendant, Midheaven (MC), and houses can only be calculated if both birth times are known. If one is missing, you’ll still receive all the chapters, with the interpretation based on signs and aspects.
What method is used to calculate the Composite Chart Book?
The classic midpoint method: planets and points as the midpoint of the shorter arc, house cusps as midpoints continuing in zodiac order. Aspects are recalculated within the composite. Retrograde motion does not apply in a composite chart.
Does the Composite Chart Book work for relationships other than romantic ones?
Yes, mathematically it works for any connection between two people. The texts are written for romantic partnerships. For friends, parents and children, or siblings, there are dedicated books with interpretation suited to those relationships.
Does the Composite Chart Book predict whether our relationship will last?
